In this article, we are going to discuss how you can recover your Gmail account without phone number and recovery email address.
There are many ways by which you can recover your Gmail account without recovery email and phone number, let us discuss all these ways one by one:
1. Visit the Gmail login page, enter your email address and click on NEXT button. After that, you will be asked to enter your password. Since, you have forgotten your password, skip this step and click on Try another way.
2. Now, Google wants you to enter the last password you remember using this Google account. If you don’t remember your password, click on Try another way again.
3. After that, you will be asked to confirm your phone number by entering it, so that, a verification code is sent to your phone number in order to reset your password. But, in your case, you have forgotten your phone number also. Hence, skip this step and click on I don’t have my phone.
4. Now, in the next step, you will be asked to enter any of the 8-digit backup codes. These backup codes can be downloaded at the time of activating 2-step verification process for your account. On the 2-step verification page, a Backup Codes option is provided, clicking on which, you can download 10 different backup codes for account recovery. The backup code is an extra layer to your Gmail account and is very helpful in logging in your account when you don’t have your phone. If you have downloaded these backup codes earlier, it’s great. Just enter these backup codes and proceed further. You will recover your account.
If any of the above options are not working for you, do not panic. There are some other steps to recover a Gmail account.
1. Visit again the Gmail login page and enter your email address. Skip the above steps until you reach on the page displaying the trusted devices added by you. Select any of the added trusted devices from the drop-down menu. Now open the settings menu of that device and tap on Accounts > Google > Sign-in & Security > Security Code. Enter any of those security codes and click on NEXT button. Now, follow all the instructions on the screen to reset your password and recover your account.
If you don’t have any of the added trusted devices with you, there is another option to recover your Gmail account.
1. Visit the Gmail login page again and enter your email address. Skip all the steps until you reach the page for entering the security question, which you have added to your account. A security question is asked to you, like your childhood friend’s name, your pet’s name, etc. These are the questions that you have added to your account at the time of creating it. Answer the question displayed on the screen and proceed as directed by the Google.
Do note that this is your last hope. If this option also does not work, there is no other way to recover your account.
Google takes the privacy and security of every person very seriously and hence, tries to recognize your identity in case you have forgotten both of your recovery phone number and email address by displaying multiple account recovery options on the screen. If you fail at every step, it is impossible to recover your account.
